YOU GOTTA POGO OFF THE CRABS!!!! DOWN + ATTACK WHILE IN THE AIR!!!

Don't you want to play with him?

20XX is a short action platformer where you take control of a nameless, voiceless baby with the goal of climbing a tower and attaining a physical copy of the latest hit video game from tech philanthropist Kein Duvafa Schist.

Press to jump, X to attack, and use the arrow keys to move. You can also use up to interact with NPCs. Your attacks will behave differently depending on if you're in the air and what direction you're moving, so utilize your motion in clever ways to take down the evil androids guarding Schist's tower.

This game was made in a week using GameMaker for The 2025 DiscMaster Jam. Every asset used, even the music and the fonts, are from archived early-and-pre-internet discs. It was a lot of fun, and hopefully I'll get to add some more content for a post-jam version.

I wish there was more of this game! The gameplay was hilariously fun and i appreciated the plot!

Thank you!! I really want to add more to it once the rating period is over. There was originally going to be a proper final boss fight and a few more levels, but you know how it is with game jams.

Really well put together!! The enemy AI and controls felt great and the sound effects were fun. I liked the elevator music.

Thank you :))

That was more fun than I thought possible with a drop kicking baby. I like it.

The visual style of this game reminds me of Windows XP-era Japanese doujin games. The movement and feel of combat especially invoke it when combined with the pre-rendered, unfiltered sprites. I liked trying to get as many attacks as possible in a single motion while enemies were stacked atop one another, and destroying enemies before they have a chance to attack. This has a lot of potential for a fun speedrun race game.

I played this game and I like it

I’d never dropkick a child, but a child dropkicking…
